This is Shana and Whitney. Two of my closest friends. We hang out most Mondays as it’s our day off from work and sometimes we just go out shooting. I love doing life with these two as well as my bro Matty who will be joining us the next few Mondays. This was a mission in Sandton, South Africa

The lovely folks from Fujifilm SA let me use their X100s camera. This little guy despite its size is incredibly powerful and packs quite the punch. It’s also wildly easy to use, I am an iphone only kinda guy (mainly cause I can’t afford a real camera 😂) so with no prior experience to aperture, shutter speed or any other fancy photography know how I learnt to use this very easily and had lots of fun with it.
The lovely folks from Fujifilm SA approached us with a collab idea. Combining our instameets with theirs. They did a brilliant job arranging everything from rooftop access to free coffee and cameras for peeps to play with during the day and then Matt and myself as well as the Igers Jozi Crew brought all our homies out.
In total 150 people came out to explore the city and take photos. Love this community. These shots are all my iPhone taken except for the group shot taken by Heinke. Will make a separate post with shots taken on the Fujifilm X100s which I had the awesome opportunity of using on the day! Thanks Fujifilm. You guys rock.
Newtown Instameet.
A few months ago my bro Matty and I hosted our first joint instameet in the lovely area of Newtown. We had about 75 peeps come through for a full day of exploring the city, meeting new humans and taking photos.

Exactly one year ago I had this crazy thought to go to a thing called an ‘Instameet’.
Where for the most part a bunch of strangers, meet in a location and walk around taking photos. I dragged my friend along and we haven’t looked back since. This is such a fantastic way to explore your city and to meet people with similar passions to you as well as to learn so much. I’ve come a long way and learnt and done a lot in this year. Look forward to many more missions. instagram has opened up a whole new world for me.
I’m currently saving up to achieve my dream of going to NYC this October. I will be hopefully also attending Hillsong NYC conference. Here’s where you all come in. So I’ve been chosen to take part in a competition. First prize is R5 000 so will help a lot with my savings.
